About CHMJI
Charles Harrison Mason Jurisdictional Institutes serve as the work of the ministry in biblical/theological training. These institutes of Christian Education laid the foundation in which the Church of God In Christ continues to provide opportunities for the Body of Christ to become fully instructed in faith; leading lives as productive and creative Christians.
Our Vision
To magnify God by providing biblical, theological, and practical training for all laypersons and credential holders within jurisdictions, districts, and congregations.
Our Objectives
- To provide students with a thorough grounding in biblical, theological, and practical ministries
- To encourage students to deepen their spiritual lives and personal relationships with Jesus Christ
- To foster a spirit of service and ministry within the church and community.
- To stimulate students to pursue further academic studies
1970
Bishop J. O. Patterson founded the
C. H. Mason Theological Seminary.
1971
C. H. Mason System of Bible Colleges
1995
Bishop Chandler D. Owens implemenrs the C. H. Mason System of Bible Colleges & Institutes.
2000
Bishop G. E. Patterson appointed Dr. Alonzo Johnson, Commissioner of Education; renamed the C. H. Mason System of Bible Colleges and Institutes.
2002
All Saints Bible College was established in Memphis, Tennessee.
2005
Dr. Goldie Frink Wells was appointed by Bishop G. E. Patterson to direct the program of C. H. Mason Institutes. She was reappointed by Bishop Charles E. Blake.
2021
In April 2021, Bishop Herbert Davis was appointed by Bishop J. Drew Sheard to lead the Charles Harrison Mason Jurisdictional Institutes.
